Discovering pet dogs at the local garbage dump is an almost daily incident for family pet rescuer Takis proestakis. In fact, it was his rescue of one deserted pet at the garbage dump that lead him to establish Takis Shelter.

Unwanted canines are often discarded like garbage at the garbage dump on Greece’s island of Crete. As the garbage dump is en route to Takis Sanctuary, Takis ineνitably driνes residence with another dog. That’s what happened on this specific day, when Takis areas Samu.
